Words Of Wisdom No. 8: Practice Flossing with Your Eyes Shut

Flossing is important as it helps to remove food particles that may be trapped in between the teeth. You can purchase a packet of floss, which you can use to clean between your teeth, from any drug store. You can keep it in your bag or office desk drawer. This comes in handy for people who do not have time to brush after every meal. It can also be used with other mouth washing detergents such as a mouth wash spray, to maintain a fresh breath even after a meal.

The main hindrance in the flossing process is lack of mirrors, this implies that one needs to know how to floss with eyes closed. If one is able to visualize the position of their teeth then flossing becomes an easy task. In many offices and other working areas, the conditions do not allow for brushing after taking a meal. Having in mind that one needs to keep his or her mouth fresh and free from any trapped food particles, then flossing becomes the only possible option for cleaning the teeth.

The advantage that comes with knowing how to floss is that it can be done at any place, it has a lot of convenience and one can do it while sitting in the office, walking or sitting back in a car. In addition to that it does not require water for rinsing purposes unlike other processes. It is also ideal for people who hate the smell of various teeth cleaning detergents. In the case of soda ash, there is a burning sensation that is left in the mouth after cleaning, since flossing doesn’t use any cleaning detergent, one is saved from this trouble. Flossing is an ideal method for keeping the mouth fresh as it is simple, convenient and less time consuming compared to the other methods.
